Guardmaster 440N ferrogard magnetic non-contact switch, 250V AC, 1 NC, 2M cable. This type of reliable non-contact switch uses a magnet to detect when a guard or gate is released. The power supply will then be cut off instantly, ensuring that personnel cannot access a hazardous area while the power supply to a machine is still running. It is designed so that the magnetic actuator is removed from the switch when the guard door is opened, which opens the NC safety contacts. Large sensing field ensures a tolerance to door misalignment, so if the guard comes loose or is not closed properly it can be identified immediately. To ensure that it does not fail it has protected safety contacts and internal non-resettable overload protection on the safety contact.
